Trypanosoma brucei are microscopic extracellular flagellate protozoa under the euglenozoa family, which are euglenozoa kinetoplastid. T. brucei is a parasite that causes diseases to humans (Barret et al., 2003).
Trypanosoma brucei have a complex life cycle they alternate between both vertebrate (animal) and invertebrate (tsetse fly). During their life cycle, they go through several morphological changes. In addition, they have the ability to respond to its environment through adaption of its proteome is essential to its survival (Lawyel & Perkins, 2000).
Trypanosoma brucei causes fatal disease to both animals and human. They are transmitted to human and animal by the haematophagous tsetse fly (fig.1) which they feeds only on the vertebrate blood. This kind of insect only found in certain places of Africa and they carry the Trypanosoma brucei.
Trypanosoma brucei are consider a good example for studying the aspect of cell biology for example, studying the cell shape, structure, organelles posting, mitosis and protein trafficking (Matthews, 2005).
